Phil Meadows
Great evening at Wakefield Jazz club last Friday. The Phil Meadows quartet were playing.

They played a good range of music from mellow easy listening to quite progressive and funky jazz. Their sets included original music written by themselves and original arrangements of Jazz standards.
It was really interesting and refreshing to hear the group, some great Saxophone playing and mesmerizing drumming.

It was a lovely evening, great venue and kind welcome, good company and great music.
I would recommend the Jazz club to my students and anyone looking for a great night out with some good live music.

Congratulations
Many congratulations to my piano students who passed with a merit and distinction in their exams earlier this month.

The hard work in lessons and personal practice paid off.

Well done to both students and all the best for their continued piano playing.

Successful piano
We had a very successful concert last weekend in Huddersfield. A few of my students and myself performed a couple of pieces each, including some classical, jazz and popular piano music.
It was a short but lovely concert and there was a nice number in the audience.

It was good practice and experience for all those who performed and was encouraging for my two students who had their piano exams the following week.

Well done to all those who played and thank you for those who were able to come and support. I look forward to the next student concert in the summer.

Student get together
For exam and performance practice I'm organising a small get together of my students to perform to each other. It will take place in Huddersfield before the exams start in March.

Inviting friends and family along as well it will be an informal afternoon together. Giving us the opportunity to listen and play to each other and with some time to get to know each other over refreshments too.

I'm sure it will be a lovely afternoon and I look forward to it with anticipation.
